Understand the needs of the community that are not currently met through other available resources.
Find resources (including funding) to help meet the needs of the citizens of Christian County.
Share the burden of community shortfalls with available programs and services.
Be an integral part of the success of the County including, but not limited to: Assistance in paying utility bills; a Christmas adoption program; a summer program for students and children to obtain free books, hygiene products, and snacks; addressing rural areas that may need services brought to them or transportation to aid in obtaining services; assistance with pet retention and care including working with services for low cost spay/neuter.
Community building which is rooted in the humanitarian and Christian traditions of care for others.
Compassion for all others, no matter race, gender, age, socio-economic status, or other categorization.
Companionship with other organizations to work together for the betterment of all.
Although we consider Nixa Share and our Christmas Adoption Program to be our first community acts, as Tri-C we have just served our first county member in need. A young person, by no fault of their own, sleeping on couches when they could found help from community organizations such as Least of These and other organizations for clothes and housing. The one thing they could not get? A mattress. It is a simple request and one we probably take for granted. Tri-C was able to serve that community member, young as they are, to fill the gap between the need and the services available.
This is why we are here.
